About EVA EVA is a copolymer or cross-linked foam made of ethylene and vinyl acetate. It is made up of hundreds of thousands of foam cells that contain air or gas. When you land on EVA foam it is compressed, replenishing with air when the weight is off that foot. By compressing EVA in a pressurized mold the midsole forms a thick skin which helps the EVA last longer. It also provides more structural integrity to the midsole.

If you tend to have a wider foot, these are narrow. Usually I'm fine with gym shoes and just need a wide in some dress shoes for a cofortable fit, these feel narrow to me. Okay, I bought them for the gym because lets face it where else are you going to wear those spring loaded shoes :) While running I felt they had little arch support or something because my arches started hurting almost right away. Therefore the next gym visit I took my old addidas gym shoes to my tredmill and left these behind. So much for not having to wear them outside the gym. So if you are looking for a running shoe I'd say no go on these just because of the lacking support. They are flexible and of good quality. I would buy .5 size bigger unless you have a narrow foot.
